A severely sore and infected gum can be considerably one of the most painstaking things to happen in your  daily life.  Without even exaggerating and increasing the hype of the disease, it is just too hard to handle such a situation as having a gum infection.  You will find it difficult to talk and even eat.  Sometimes, it is even worse than being broke.  A sore gum is indeed a burden nobody wants to carry throughout a long time.

Though as frustrating as it may seem, as soon as you catch one, you are now explicitly vulnerable to the immense pain brought by the disorder.  What a person could do is to actually become more preventive as early as possible.  Given that plaque is the primary Gum Infection Cause, it is highly obvious to avoid plaque.  Accomplishing that can be summed up in two words:  oral hygiene.  Brush your teeth faithfully, avoid food with too much sugar content, use dental floss after every meals – those are some of a few but totally effective measures that can be performed to avoid the said problem.

But what do you exactly do when you are already caught in that web.  Supposedly, it would be just a lesson learned and a charge to experience.  Remedies for gum infection can be either in form of medication (some antibiotics are helpful in minimizing the soreness of the gums), a liquid diet where you need to not have,(if possible) physical contact with hard food, or through various surgical procedures that are proven to be costly and well, painful.

You know when they say that money grows on trees?  That may not be necessarily be true, but certainly it can be very applicable in this situation.  It's not that you should have lots of money, rather, the cure to this problem can be found in your backyard.  Yes, through various organic substances, you may be able to at least alleviate the pain brought about by the infection.  Believe it or not, your favorite strawberries and a refreshing glass of any citrus drink will do you wonders.  These are rich in Vitamin C and are highly proven to heal infections.  Through mixing the strawberries and lemon juice and using this mixture as a toothpaste substitute, you will be better in no time.  Garlic can also be a very safe alternative to antibiotics.  Include this in your diet or at least have an intake of anything garlic-based.  Generic yogurt can also be helpful with its natural antioxidants that can be useful in eradicating bacteria surrounding your gums.

Of course, these home remedies are such a pleasure to hear, but you have to have the consent of the person who knows how to go about this problem the best way possible – your dentist.  It won't hurt to inform him or her that you are using this mixture or you have gone on a yogurt based diet.  With him on the know of how you treat your infection, he can be solicited with more and better ways to cure this.  Who knows, he or she also advocates alternative medicine?
