When it comes to tourist spots, Barcelona has always been on the top of my list. With awesome places to go to, scrumptious Spanish cuisine and nice, lovely people, it never fails to make me want to come back. I’ve been to the city a few times and if you’re curious on what things to do while in the vicinity, then read on and I’ll tell you about them.

Take a walk – there are plenty of tourist attractions in Barcelona. The Sagrada Familia is a famous church that has several monuments and has been one of Spain’s top tourist attractions. The La Rambla is a street that is always packed with people. The Casa Mila is an unusual building that turned out to be a work of art, just a few blocks from the Sagrada Familia. And these are just the three of the several places to go to. Barcelona is also a perfect place to practice your photography skills, with impressive buildings and unique architectures that make perfect subjects for still shots. So if you’re into photography, grab your camera and capture the sights.

Experience Spanish cuisine at its best – Barcelona is best known for its bountiful availability of fresh seafood. The city also boasts of its mouth-watering sweets so get your pot ready for confectionary shops and seafood restaurants. The city doesn’t fall behind traditional Spanish cuisine as well, as you’ll find the usual paellas, chorizo and embutidos in almost every corner.

Shop till you drop – if you’re into fashion, you’ll find Barcelona not falling behind the city of fashion itself. With designer original clothes on the streets, probably with internationally famous labels you’ll easily recognize, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for when it comes to clothes.

Party in the streets – Barcelona isn’t just famous because of the local attractions. Go down the city during September and you’ll find the Festes de la Mercee keeping the people alive. This is a local festival which features fireworks displays, concerts, exhibitions and street parades.

Whether you’re in the city for sightseeing or just there to experience the food, Barcelona will never be complete without a good Barcelona apartment. Barcelona vacation rentals, hotels and apartments are everywhere, assuring you to have a good time and given great service when you need it. Give yourself a break, go down the shopping district and check in a nearby hotel and see how it feels like lodging Barcelona the proper way.
